Makenna's crib
23 weeks pregnant
25 weeks pregnant - only 15 weeks to go!
This month has gone by sooo fast!! And we have been crazy busy and sick. We both got the infamous "stomach bug" that has been going around town. We got it at the same time and I was sooo grateful that Michael got the worst of it. Turns out by thinking that I jinxed myself! I got it AGAIN later that week. IT. WAS. HORRIBLE. I almost had to go to the ER to get IV fluid because I just could not keep ANYTHING down. Finally I found a sample of a zofran film (it's like a listerine strip that dissolves on your tongue.). That did the trick! (I was soooo glad I still had it. Dr Mauro had given it to me a couple of weeks after I started working at my office). I finally was able to start holding down sips of gingerale and gatorade. YAY!
We picked a name for baby girl! Her name is Makenna Leigh Fredrickson! She is getting big enough now that she is giving some really good kicks (and sometimes a little painful). We can also see her moving around when I lay flat on my back. That was a little creepy the first time I saw it. But it really made me realize that "Oh my goodness there really is a baby in there!"
Today we had another OB appointment. We got alot of news at it:
1: I am 25 weeks instead of 24 weeks (YAY!! All the sooner we get to meet her!)
2: Makenna is 2lbs now! She's sooo big already!
3: I passed my glucose tolerance test! YAY!
4: All my labs are great and my bllod pressure is good!
5: I still haven't gained any extra weight! (This is nothing to worry about. Let's face it... I wasn't exactly malnurished before I got preggers. :D )
6: I guess I ask alot of questions about the ultrasound (like what was what and how can you tell if the umbilical cord is 3 vessels or 2?) so my doc is sending me to Radiology Associates for a full Anatomy scan ultrasound! There is nothing to worry about, he's sending me because I want to be sent. I am very excited about this scan coming up on Friday because it is very high def ultrasound they use so we should get some pretty darn good pics of the baby! Plus I like to learn about the ultrasounds and what all the different organs look like in utero, so this should be
Well I guess I should go into the nursery and help Michael paint some! Oooo speaking of Michael, Healthsouth has officially switched to 12 hours shifts!!! This means Michael will only be work 3 days a week instead of 5! I am so super excited about this!!!!!!!!
