HA!!

So my neighbor's loud music finally sent me over the edge this morning. I had a bad night at work and I got woken up to the loud junky music. So Michael went to the office to complain. While he was gone someone started yelling at my neighbors! Ha!! Serves them right!! And then to top it all, Michael got back and said they had already sent them a noise letter! So hopefully these people will get their music under control or will be kicked out!!

Now if we can figure the open parking out!!

Sleep

I love sleep. Sleep is amazing. Sadly I feel like I never get enough.... so I can't blog very much tonight... I'm going to take a nap. Goodnight!

Fun Sunday

I had a really good Sunday!! I woke up and got ready for church. Michael and I left and got caught in the storm I taunted last night (oops), but got the church safely! Nursery was good, even though we had a ton of kids today! I have decided that the favorite church song in "head, shoulders, knees, and toes! After we finish singing all the kids chant "FASTER FASTER!!!" It is so cute! But the overall favorite song is 3 little monkeys! The kids are so overly cute during the "SNAP!!!!" After church I got home and took an hour nap that seriously felt like an entire nights sleep! It was awesome! Then I woke up and helped Michael study for his finals. After study time we headed over to my friend Kelly's house for a fun and yummy BBQ dinner! Then we rushed over to my aunt and uncles house for my cousin's B-Day party. It is so hard to believe he is 14 now! It seems like just yesterday he was born! After the party we headed over to my parent's house for a little bit. My parents signed my car title over to us and my dad gave Michael a blessing for his upcoming finals! Then we headed out and made one last stop at Kelly's again to help her out with something and pick some stuff up.
Busy Busy but fun day.
I'm tired and going to sleep.
goodnight all!!

Storm? What storm?

This morning when I got off work there was a big wall of green heading towards Tallahassee on the radar. Actually it was a wall of green, yellow, and LOTS of RED. I was freaked out.... as you know I HATE thunderstorms. Well... I got home and fell asleep. When I woke up there was no more storm!! So basically I have no clue if it even rained here. It's really sad the storm caused lots of damage in other states. Please keep the families that were affected by this bad storm in your prayers!

The rest of my day was spent relaxing, cleaning, and playing the wii with my hubby!! Pretty good day!

It's time for a VaCaTiOn BABY!!!

So I just found out that Michael's cousin has finally set a date for her wedding!! So That means Michael and I get to go to Wisconsin!!! I am so excited for Marisa and Jordan and their upcoming wedding and I cannot wait to go out there! All morning I have been looking at flights and trying to find the cheapest! At first I was in shock because the cheapest flight out of Tally (even if it had up to 3 layovers) was $696.00 EACH!!! I was like... Heck no! We will spend an all nighter and drive if we have too!! But then I got smart and looked at what it would be if we flew out of Atlanta or Jacksonville. Atlanta was still pricey especially when I added in the cost of gas and hotel since all the flights left at like 6am. But then when I saw the price to fly from Jacksonville I was relieved!! A round trip will cost us $240.00 each. That's not bad and I am so willing to pay it to be at her wedding! I can't wait.... (but alas Iwill be waiting because it is not for a few more months!!)! Congrats Marisa and Jordan!!! We love you guys!!!
PS: This is the very YUMMY Veggie soup I made for dinner! I got squirted in the eye with a juicy onion.... but it was SO worth it!

10 things I hate about... well just 10 things I hate!!

1. Loud Music, the type you feel more then hear.

2. Cleaning Toilets.

3. Taking a short shower (Note: My "short" is not measured by time. If there is still hot water left when I am getting out... it is short).

4. Only getting to watch half of a movie.

5. Wrong numbers... I have been getting at least 4 of these calls a day. If it were just one once in a while it would be fine.... but multiple a day? Come on!!

6. Waking up for work. I love my job, I just hate waking up for it.

7. Did I mention loud music?

8. Thunderstorms... I love the rain, I just hate the lightning and thunder.

9. Sweeping.

10. Stubbing my toe... ow!

The simple pleasures...

At work one night I was talking with a patient who had been married to her hubby for 88 years! I asked her for some tips to making a marriage a happy lasting one. She said that both the husband and the wife needed to make a list of 10 simple pleasures.... 5 that can be enjoyed with your spouse and 5 for yourself. So here is my list!

My 5:

1: Reading. It is so great to be able to just relax with a book.

2: Facebook.... Yes I know... this is sad.

3: Blogging...

4: Cooking

5: Playing the piano.

(Ok. I'm going to break the rules and put a few extra that are just for me)

6: Standing outside at dusk just after it has rained... The smell, the lighting, and the sounds... I love it!!!!

7: Decorating.

8: Taking a bath!!!
Sadly This is one I don't enjoy very often because our bathtub in our apartment is small and has an overflow drain placed VERY low (about 3 inches above the real drain) :-(

Now for the 5 simples pleasures I enjoy with Michael:

1: Cuddling up on the couch watching movies, playing wii, watching sports center, etc..

2: Sleeping....

3: Well... you know... ;-D

4: Cleaning... This is weird I know but I really do enjoy cleaning as long as he is at my side!

5: Talking

I'm so breaking the rules again. I can't just stop at 5.

6: Giving each other foot rubs.

7: Building (well assembling) things!

8: Helping each other at work ( Ha! I actually get to do this! I love working at the same place as my hubby!)

9: Coming up with and singing silly songs.

10: Sitting next to him at church and being able to lay my head on his shoulder.

11: Playing games.

It really is the simple pleasures in life!! I love my Husband more and more each day!

I really had fun doing this.... Consider yourself tagged!!

Blessings...

We are so blessed!! Before the wedding I was totally freaking out because I realized that I was basically only going to see my husband on weekends because of our oppisite work schedules (EEK!!). Well the Thursday before the wedding my (now) husband mentioned to me that our Director of Nurses had asked him if I were interested in night shift. (I at the time worked the evening shift 3p-11p.) Basically as soon as he told me I called my DoN and left a lengthy (probably incoherent) message about how YES I am interested and so on and so forth. The next day (1 day until the BIG day) she called me back and told me if I wanted it, the position was mine!!!!! (insert excited squeek here). I accepted the position.
We got married, went on our honeymoon, and on the 15th I went back to work. I only had 9 evening shifts until I switched over to night shift. Well one of the night shifters came to me and asked me to switch 2 shifts with her, so that brought me down to only 7 shifts!! And believe me... it is a good thing I got moved to the night shift because I discovered that I can't sleep at night without Michael beside me!!!
Now I am almost done with my first full week of being a night shifter!! Am I totally tired? Yeah, but I have always been a bit of a night owl so this is awesome! Is it harder having 11-12 patients instead of 6-8? Well.... yes and no... It is more people to deal with, but they sleep (most of the time) all night and I don't have to do admissions now!!! (BIG HUGE YAY!!!)
But the best thing about it is the fact that I get to spend time with my husband!!!! He is the biggest blessing of them all!!! I am so lucky to have found such a wonderful man!!
My poor husband who also works all night long had and 8am class Monday, Wednesday, and Friday... This man brings me breakfast most mornings and will wake up out of a dead sleep to kill the bugs that are threatening me (Unless the said bug is a little tiny scorpian... when that is the threating bug... well... he stands there and laughs and then makes fun of me!!) This man also "lets" me win some of the 3 pointer games on our WII!!! What can I say??? I totally in love with him!!! PS. Here is a slideshow of wedding pics!!
